HOW TO SIGN UP

Student Leaders must be 10th grade or older.

Student Leaders who are 15 years of age or younger are
not required to provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination. 

Student Leaders who are 16 years of age or older
during their week(s) of being a Student Leader
are required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19,
as per Oregon Administrative Rule (O.A.R.) 333-019-1030.

New Student Leaders

  1. RSVP HERE.
  2. Download/print a New Student Leader form or obtain one from your high school's Outdoor School contact person.  Get that form signed by your school counselor and a parent/guardian.
  3. Figure out when you'd be available to be a Student Leader - check with parents, teachers, coaches, bosses, etc. to determine a few weeks that could work for your schedule.
  4. Check out our Site & Photos -- determine at least one inland site (Cedar Ridge / Trickle Creek) and at least one beach site (Magruder / Meriwether) that you'd be interested in attending.
  5. Bring you sign-up form to a training - try to get it signed ahead of time by your parent/guardian and school counselor, if at all possible.
  6. ​Watch this video, take the Program Tour, and read the Student Leader Handbook to learn more about being a Student Leader.

Returning Student Leaders

  1. Download/print a Returning Student Leader form.
  2. Get the form filled out and signed by your parent/guardian and school counselor.
  3. Send it to our office -- read the form for details!
  4. Recruit your friends and classmates to become Student Leaders and earn prizes!
